Core purpose
REZICS books are not designed only for International Standard Book Numbers and first editions. They can describe published books, web novels, light novels, columns, comics, and other works with a coherent book identity and ordered content.
For a web novel, a work can update, move platforms, be translated, be published, and exist on several platforms at once. The book retains its work identity; sources, releases, content structure, and reading progress separately record where it appears, which versions exist, how content is ordered, and where a reader stopped.
What is available now
- Create multilingual book identities with covers, summaries, status, and relationships.
- Connect authors, translators, publishers, series, releases, tags, and external sources.
- Build a tree of chapters with content structure and reuse existing chapters or posts.
- Move between chapters in the reader and preserve the last position and reading progress.
- Preserve the change context of content structures through published revisions.
- Distinguish index-only records from books for which REZICS has the right to host content.
Cross-platform web novels
A platform URL is evidence of a source, not the work itself. A useful reading entry point first identifies the book behind that URL, then presents original and translated titles, serial status, chapter updates, and lawful reading sources together. The same work therefore need not rebuild its collections and community knowledge after a move, translation, or publication.
The first release will import 400,000 books to address search cold start. The durable asset is what follows: cross-platform identity, cross-language relationships, source verification, reading trails, and Realm community memory.
Content and license boundaries
unit.license describes the original work’s public license. A work unit’s content-hosting license answers whether REZICS may provide the text itself. Without hosting rights, the platform may retain an index and source links, but may not host protected content merely because it found a URL.
In development
Cross-platform source resolution, batch-import verification, duplicate detection, merge governance, serial-update aggregation, and more complete web-novel search are in development. They rely on batchable, recoverable content-structure writes and governance that works at scale.
Relationships and boundaries
A book is a work identity, not a particular release, platform page, personal library, or JSON list of chapters. Posts carry chapter content, content structure manages order, and reading state belongs to each reader’s own progress.
